Design the path, not the homepage hero alone

Collection → product → cart → checkout → confirmation → retention should be storyboarded as one journey with error states and “out of stock” honesty. Hero aesthetics cannot compensate for broken intermediate steps.

Choose stack for velocity, not fashion

Shopify, headless, and custom commerce each fit different catalog and ops constraints. The wrong “modern” stack slows merchandising more than it accelerates conversion.
